Awake Project is an ensemble of performers and creative innovators who aim to awaken people’s ability to chose who they are and how they live. We do this by utilizing the power of the performing arts in a variety of unique projects.

Awake Project is expanding.
With two new babies, three new performers (Hannah Lundgren, Christ0ffer Rogerson and Dagfinn Tutturen), 1 new producer assistant, 7 shows at Teater Västmanland in Västerås, two at PIT International Theatre Festival in Norway, Awake LOVE Orchestra gigs and another summer School at The North Wall in Oxford, The Breathing Performer in New York, AuBrana, London, +++ This is looking like a great year.

The old locomotives depot with tall abandoned brick walls create a unique performance space for flames and sparks. The huge and beautiful industrial space becomes a frame for the glow that will make you forget about winter.

A performance about identity and seeking.
En föreställning om identitet och sökande.
This story is told through physical theatre, song and live music, acrobacy and rhythms. Ibsen’s Peer Gynt is given a fresh new life when modern technique and the cyber world is integrated in the staging. What does it mean to be yourself? We follow young Peer on his journeys and meetings where he is challenged to answer the question: Are you yourself? Is that enough?
Historien berättas med fysisk teater, sång, akrobatik och rytmik. Ibsens Peer Gynt ges nytt liv genom modern teknik och scenisk integrering av cybervärlden.
Vad betyder det att vara sig själv? Vi får följa unga Peer på sina resor och möten där han utmanas till att svara på frågan: Vem är du? Är du dig själv? Räcker det?
The performance is aimed at young teenagers, that are in the process of creating their own identities. Awake Project want to create awareness around peer pressure, exclusion, and the current virtual identities created through Facebook, twitter and other social medias.
Föreställningen vänder sig till unga tonåringar, som står i begrepp att bilda sig en identitet.
Awake Project vill väcka frågan om grupptryck, utanförskap, och vår tids virituella identiteter som skapas på Facebook, Twitter, och andra sociala medier.
